Welcome New Interns!

We are delighted to welcome new interns, Jay Giffin and Jake Vitarellli.

Jay Giffin (they/she/he) is a graduating senior from Pace University's BA Directing program. Captivated by interdisciplinary art that challenges their existing conceptions of what one is "allowed to do," they seek to uplift this type of work as a creative producer, director, designer, and collaborator— commonly exploring identity through a playful queer lens. Their credits run the gamut of staple New York City venues, from New York Theatre Workshop to Rooftops in Brooklyn. They are Co-Founder and General Manager of the production company, TOWNN. @jay_giffin_ @townn.nyc

Jake Vitarelli (he/him) is a senior studying Dramatic Writing at the New York University Tisch School of the Arts. Originally from Connecticut, Jake is thrilled to be interning at New Dramatists this semester.

The Bernard B. Jacobs Academic Internship Program was named in memory of the late President of the Shubert Organization, who discovered and mentored many talented theatre people during his lifetime. This program at New Dramatists offers a unique opportunity for early-career theatre artists and managers to learn about artist-led development and the operations of a non-profit arts service organization in New York City. Interns receive academic credit for their work with us through this program each semester. Learn about the Bernard B. Jacobs Internship program.
